Basketball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Warren Central's Ninth in Last 11 Outings

Madisonville-North Hopkins typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Warren Central proved too difficult a challenge. They took down the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons 62-45. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Maroons are ranked 98th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Warren Central is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Warren Central has already played their next contest, a 60-47 defeat against Butler County on the 4th. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, they will face off against Caldwell County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Caldwell County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Madisonville-North Hopkins likes a good challenge.
