Baseball Recap: Mead Takes a Loss

Mead was the 8-1 winner over Chiawana when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mead Panthers lost 12-2 to the Chiawana Riverhawks on Saturday.

Mead saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Denison, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Mead's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chiawana, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Mead will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mt. Spokane at 4:00 p.m. on March 25th. The game will give Mt. Spokane their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Chiawana, they will square off against Lewis & Clark at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
