The El Segundo Eagles will face off against the Centennial Apaches at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. El Segundo will be strutting in after a win while Centennial will be coming in after a defeat.
El Segundo's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Beverly Hills to the tune of 59-0. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six contests by 28 points or more so far this season.
El Segundo's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Wiacek, who threw for 200 yards and five touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Rocco Taylor was another key receiver, picking up 97 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
El Segundo didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Beverly Hills to a completion percentage of just 11.1%. The Eagles weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 61.1%.

El Segundo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Spencer Osborne led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Charles Juarez is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last nine games he's played dating back to last season. Osborne got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Centennial's offense. They took a blow against Brentwood School on Friday, falling 33-0. While losing is never fun, the Apaches can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 856th, while the Eagles are ranked 344th).
El Segundo pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points over those games. As for Centennial, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Everything came up roses for El Segundo against Centennial in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 59-6 win. In that game, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 35-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
