After flying high against Dutch Fork on Tuesday, James F. Byrnes came back down to earth. The Rebels came up short against the Mauldin Mavericks on Friday, falling 4-0. James F. Byrnes haven't had much luck with Mauldin recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

James F. Byrnes' defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Mauldin, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4.

James F. Byrnes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mauldin, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against J.L. Mann on the 14th.
