Cardinal Mooney came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Springfield Tigers with a sharp 14-4 win. Considering the Cardinals have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryan Reese made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andrew Bushey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Taco Verroco was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Cardinal Mooney always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Cardinal Mooney's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Springfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.
