Volleyball Game Preview: Piney Woods Tornadoes vs. Salem Wildcats

The Piney Woods Tornadoes will head out on the road to square off against the Salem Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Piney Woods will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Taylorsville, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Tornadoes walked away with a 3-1 win over the Tartars on Monday.

Meanwhile, Salem entered their tilt with Lawrence County on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 3-1.

Salem had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-13, 25-17, 25-19.

Piney Woods' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Salem, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.
