Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harrison Central). They came out on top against the Port Gibson Blue Waves by a score of 75-65 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Rebels considering their ten-point performance the game before.

Harrison Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hayden Boggs, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 boards. The dominant performance gave Boggs a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Jordon Beard, who posted 19 points.

Harrison Central's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8. As for Port Gibson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Harrison Central will take on Cottage Hill Christian Academy in a tournament on Thursday. As for Port Gibson, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th.
