Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Oregon

It's playoff time, and Oregon had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 46-36 victory over the Rock Falls Rockets on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-20 last Saturday.

It was another big night for Aniyah Sarver, who en route to 22 points and eight boards. She has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Noelle Girton was another key player, putting up four points and five boards.

Rock Falls' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Arianna Reyna, who on her way to 16 points. The dominant performance also gave Reyna a new career-high in field goal percentage (89%). Another player making a difference was Ashley Rodriguez, who posted 11 points.

Oregon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-15. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points over those games. As for Rock Falls, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-27.

Oregon has already played their next contest, a 34-28 victory against Hall on the 17th. Rock Falls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
