Basketball Recap: Carroll County Takes a Loss

If Carroll County was riding high fresh off their 73-34 takedown of Columbus Christian last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Carroll County Panthers lost 68-42 to the Eminence Warriors on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-39 back in January.

Despite the loss, Carroll County still got an impressive performance from Cooper Gutman, who went 10-for-22 on his way to 29 points. Gutman's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

Carroll County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. Eminence's win bumped their record up to 13-11.

Carroll County has already played their next match, a 50-46 victory against Dayton on the 14th. As for Eminence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-42 win against Burgin on the 13th.
