Basketball Recap: Plano Comes Up Short

Plano was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rock Hill Blue Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Blue Hawks are ranked 173rd).

Plano's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Rock Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing McKinney the next time they take the court. Rock Hill will head out to face McKinney at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Plano will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
