Basketball Recap: Lane Tech Comes Up Short

Lane Tech lost against Niles North back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Champions fell 64-54 to the Vikings.

When it comes to explaining why Lane Tech lost, don't look at Matthew Szafoni. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Christian, who posted ten points and six boards.

Lane Tech's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Niles North, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Lane Tech has already played their next contest, a 53-24 defeat against DePaul College Prep on the 26th. As for Niles North, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-30 victory against Phillips on the 26th.
