Piedmont barely beat Southmoore the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats never let the SaberCats get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory on Monday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Piedmont has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Southmoore, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-10.

Piedmont will have a chance to go back-to-back against the SaberCats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
