Basketball Recap: Columbia's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lawrence Academy, Columbia was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They secured a 45-41 W over the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 65-40 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Columbia moved to 2-9 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Columbia will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bear Grass Charter at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Pungo Christian Academy will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Ridgecroft at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
