Softball Recap: MACCRAY Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Adrian/Ellsworth, MACCRAY was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Ashby Arrows 9-8.

The team relied heavily on Israel Gora, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Reyna Mendoza, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

MACCRAY's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Ashby, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, MACCRAY will head out to take on Lac qui Parle Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ashby, they will challenge Brandon/Evansville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
