South Side lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Neshannock, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Rams blew past the Lancers, posting a 35-7 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Andrew Corfield had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 255 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 84-yard run.

Corfield was just one part of a punishing run game: South Side was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 439 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 181 rushing yards in 11 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to South Side's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Amare Moman and Cody Mehlmauer, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Although Neshannock took the loss, they still got scores from Amari Rapchak and Jino Mozzocio.

South Side's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.3 points on average over those games. As for Neshannock, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.

South Side has already played their next game, a 45-7 defeat against Laurel on the 17th. As for Neshannock, they will square off against Summit Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
