Basketball Game Preview: A.C. Flora Falcons vs. Lancaster Bruins

The A.C. Flora Falcons will take on the Lancaster Bruins at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. A.C. Flora has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

A.C. Flora is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 66-22 victory over York. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Teonna Draughn was her usual excellent self, putting up 18 points. The matchup was her third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Skylar McCray, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Lancaster ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They escaped with a win against Richland Northeast by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bruins as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

A.C. Flora better keep an eye on Zatyra Walls. She was instrumental in Lancaster's win, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards. That's the most points Walls has posted since back in February of 2024. Kemarja Peay was another key player, posting eight points and seven rebounds.

Lancaster now has a winning record of 7-6. As for A.C. Flora, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.

A.C. Flora didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lancaster in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, but they still walked away with a 43-38 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Peay, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will A.C. Flora still be able to contain Peay? There's only one way to find out.
