            Baseball Recap: Crothersville Tigers vs. Lanesville Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Crothersville extended their losing streak  to six  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 1-10 in the process. They came up short against  the Lanesville Eagles, falling  28-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the  19-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2024.
As for Lanesville, their record now sits at 5-8. The  match marked their most dominant  win of the  season so far.
For Lanesville's part,  Ian Crawford looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off   two  hits.
 On the hitting side, Lanesville got a  massive  performance out of  Nolyn Hall, who  got on base  in all six of his plate appearances with five  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. The dominant performance also gave  Hall a new career-high in  hits (four). Another player making a difference was  Jeremy Guffey, who  got on base  in four of his six plate appearances with four  runs, four  RBI,  and one  double.
 Looking ahead, Crothersville will take on Rock Creek Academy at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Lanesville, they will challenge Eastern at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Musketeers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.31  runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
