Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Somonauk). Everything went their way against the Princeton Tigers on Friday as they made off with a 7-0 victory. Given Somonauk's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Princeton are ranked 430th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Somonauk and bumps their season record up to 7-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two matches. As for Princeton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11-1 record this season.

Somonauk will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against DePue/Hall at 4:30 p.m. As for Princeton, they will head out to face off against Kewanee at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
