Softball Recap: Lynbrook Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Lynbrook took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against New Hyde Park Memorial, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Owls had just enough and edged out the Gladiators 15-14 on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Owls, who have now won six contests in a row.

Bianca Lobosco was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamila DeJesus, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Lynbrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Lynbrook pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for New Hyde Park Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Lynbrook didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-8 victory against Valley Stream North on the 30th. New Hyde Park Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
