Baseball Recap: DeSoto Comes Up Short

DeSoto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Cedar Hill Longhorns. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-0 last Tuesday.

DeSoto's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Cedar Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. DeSoto will challenge rival Lancaster at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. Meanwhile, Cedar Hill is set to square off against their familiar foe Horn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Longhorns 2.5, the Jaguars 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
