Football Game Preview: Burkburnett Bulldogs vs. Brock Eagles

The Burkburnett Bulldogs will take on the Brock Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Burkburnett has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with eight straight losses, while Brock will come in with seven straight victories.

On Friday, Burkburnett lost to Eagle Mountain on the road by a 38-23 margin. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 754th, while the Knights are ranked 302nd).

Although Burkburnett took the loss, they still got scores from Cooper Riley, Cayden Gerstner, and Riley Morgan.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Brock against Mineral Wells on Friday as the squad secured a 55-7 win. Fans of the Eagles have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Brock's win came from a few key players Burkburnett will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Holt Frazier, who threw for 334 yards and four TDs while completing 75% of his passes. Dash Lindsey was another key player, gaining 102 total yards and three touchdowns.

Brock's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Burkburnett, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
