Soccer Recap: Cleveland Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Cleveland was not quite Smithfield-Selma's equal in the second half on Monday. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. Cleveland were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Smithfield-Selma earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Blayden Cotten and Ronaldo Gutierrez scored both of Cleveland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Cleveland's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Smithfield-Selma, their record now sits at 8-11-2.

Looking ahead, Cleveland will welcome Clayton at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Smithfield-Selma does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
