The biggest upset of the week belonged to Knight, who took down 391st ranked Knight, 29-7. Donte Ross threw for 168 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 49 yards in the win.
Ross and Jamire Jordan provided fans with a highlight when they connected against the Hawks. The longest such play in Golden this season, the connection resulted in 78 yards.
Demario Richard was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 269 yards on 26 carries as Palmdale defeated Knight. Jarrod Ford also contributed to the rushing game with 30 yards on the ground.
Jordan was the best wideout in the league this week as the Bulldogs topped Corey Guilfoos' team. Jordan tallied three receptions for 103 yards. Cahlil Canada helped Highland's passing attack out by catching one ball for 24 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Jake Dashnaw and Richard the Falcons have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Dashnaw leads the league in passing with 838 yards, while Richard has rushed for 1119 yards this season. Highland's Jordan leads the league in receiving yards with 434 on 26 catches.
A big matchup in Golden this week will be when Eastside takes on Antelope Valley. At the moment, the Lions are in third, while the Antelopes are in second.
Palmdale extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Quartz Hill, 41-3. The win marks sixth in a row for the Jeff Williams' team.
