Crothersville's win ends three-game losing streak at home

The Crothersville Tigers's eight-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They came out on top against Dugger Union by a score of 42-29. The victory was just what Crothersville needed coming off of a 70-28 defeat in their prior match.

Dugger Union lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jordyn Smith, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Smith is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sage Stahl, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.

Crothersville's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-14. As for Dugger Union, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crothersville will stay at home for another game and welcome Medora at 7:00 p.m. on January 15th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Medora is ranked 381st, while Crothersville is ranked 385th). As for Dugger Union, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against White River Valley at 7:30 p.m. White River Valley is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
