Soccer Game Preview: Yoakum vs. Cole

The Yoakum Bulldogs will square off against the Cole Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Yoakum's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Yoakum fell victim to San Antonio Memorial and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Minutemen, falling 4-0. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly four goals.

Meanwhile, Cole gave up the first goal last Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over San Antonio Memorial. The Cougars better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Jackson Freds, as he scored every single goal for his team.

Cole has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those seven matches. As for Yoakum, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
