There's no place like home for Copper Canyon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the La Joya Community Fighting Lobos on Thursday, sneaking past 11-10. This was a revenge game for the Aztecs: when they faced off against the Fighting Lobos on Tuesday, they had to take a 7-4 defeat.

Dariany Flores was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Jesus Vega was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Gabriel Ruelas was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

Copper Canyon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as La Joya Community only posted an OBP of .417.

Copper Canyon's record is now 10-6-1. As for La Joya Community, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6.
