Recap: Ragsdale Tigers vs. Southeast Guilford Falcons
While it was all tied up 31-31 at halftime, the Ragsdale Tigers were not quite the Southeast Guilford Falcons's equal in the second half on Wednesday. Ragsdale was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to Southeast Guilford. Ragsdale has struggled against Southeast Guilford recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Ragsdale's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brooke Parker, who scored 23 points, and Ja'mya Boddie who scored 18 points. Parker is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played.
Leading Southeast Guilford to victory were Morgan Odom and Jasmin Riggs. Odom scored 19 points, while Riggs scored 19 points. That's the first time this season that Riggs scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Iyahna Staton, who scored eight points.
Ragsdale has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Southeast Guilford, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Northwest Guilford the next time they take the court. Southeast Guilford will head out to face Northwest Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Ragsdale will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
