Basketball Game Preview: Parke Heritage Wolves vs. Greencastle Tiger Cubs

The Parke Heritage Wolves will challenge the Greencastle Tiger Cubs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Parke Heritage is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Parke Heritage is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 56-33 margin over North Putnam. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Greencastle didn't have too much trouble with North Montgomery on Friday as they won 66-50. Given the Tiger Cubs' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Chargin' Chargers are ranked 348th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Greencastle's win came from a few key players Parke Heritage will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sam Gooch, who went 7-for-10 to rack up 17 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 60% in the last ten games he's played. Nathan Sutherlin was another key player, shooting 50% from the field on his way to 14 points and six assists.

Greencastle was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Greencastle has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. Parke Heritage's win bumped their record up to 21-4.
