Baseball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for General Mclane

General McLane won the last time they faced Harbor Creek and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Lancers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Huskies, sneaking past 3-2. That's two games straight that the Lancers have won by just one run.

Jordan Cannon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, General McLane let Charlie Salvo and Alex Clark run wild. Salvo went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Clark went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Salvo has launched this season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for General McLane, bringing their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Harbor Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
