Baseball Recap: St. James Takes a Loss

St. James was the 5-1 winner over Conway when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sharks lost 11-4 to the Tigers on Monday. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Henry Dufour was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Those hits were his first of the season.

At the plate, Jeter Centracchio made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Riley Sackett was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

St. James' record now sits at 5-8. As for Conway, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: St. James beat the Tigers by a score of 6-4 on Wednesday.
