Basketball Recap: Washington Bulldogs vs. Therrell Panthers
Washington lost against Therrell last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Washington Bulldogs took a hard 86-72 fall against the Therrell Panthers.
Leading Therrell to victory were Gordon Davis and Morion Mcwhorter. Davis almost dropped a double-double with 30 points and nine assists, while Mcwhorter went 10 for 11 en route to 20 points in addition to eight boards and three blocks. Davis is becoming a predictor of Therrell's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 6-2 (and 4-12 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Woolridge, who posted six points and three steals.
Washington has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 15 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-21 record this season. As for Therrell, their victory bumped their record up to 10-14.
Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Therrell, they will take on Holy Innocents Episcopal at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Holy Innocents Episcopal's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 matches.
