Volleyball Game Preview: Triangle Math & Science Tigers vs. Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs

The Triangle Math & Science Tigers will head out to take on the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Triangle Math & Science has three straight victories, Durham School of the Arts has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Triangle Math & Science had won nine straight road games dating back to last season and Chris Lange did his part to make it ten on Wednesday. The Tigers put the hurt on Seaforth with a sharp 3-0 win with plenty of help from Lange, who had 30 assists. Lange is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 12 every time he's taken the court this season.

Triangle Math & Science never let Seaforth on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 26-24, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Durham School of the Arts came up short against Orange last Thursday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10, 25-12.

Durham School of the Arts' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Triangle Math & Science, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Everything went Triangle Math & Science's way against Durham School of the Arts in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Triangle Math & Science made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
