Santo brought a six-game winning streak into their match against Archer City last Friday; they left with a seven-game streak. Santo won the matchup and then some against Archer City, taking the matchup 40-12. Followers of Santo probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected six blowout victories.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Windthorst's strategy against Ranger last Friday. Everything came up roses for Windthorst against Ranger as the squad secured a 68-7 win. That looming 61-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Windthorst yet.
Their wins bumped Santo to 7-0 and Windthorst to 4-3. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
