Football Recap: River View Comes Up Short

River View lost against Tug Valley back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Raiders were dealt a 48-6 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bryson Elia produced another solid effort rushing for 148 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, and also picking up 39 receiving yards for Tug Valley. Preston May was another key player, rushing for 57 yards and one touchdown.

River View now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Tug Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. River View will venture away from home to face off against Webster County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Highlanders' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Tug Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
