It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Roosevelt ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 51-47 W over the Riverside Rams. The Sharks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Roosevelt got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Janiya Cortijo out in front who posted ten points. Xyla Ruff was another key player, putting up nine points.

Roosevelt's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Roosevelt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 54-32 defeat against Peekskill on the 27th. As for Riverside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-52 loss against Pelham Memorial on the 27th.
