Basketball Recap: Montgomery Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lee-Scott Academy

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Montgomery Academy walked away with it. They blew past the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors, posting a 49-22 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 44-24 back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Lee-Scott Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Clarke Ivatt dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Ivatt also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Lee-Scott Academy is 6-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 10-11 otherwise.

Montgomery Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-18. As for Lee-Scott Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-12.

As of now, neither Montgomery Academy nor Lee-Scott Academy have any future games scheduled.
