Western Reserve is 0-10 against Crestview since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Roughriders will welcome the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. Western Reserve is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Western Reserve's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Mansfield Christian as they made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Roughriders' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The team relied heavily on Claire Kinney, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Eliza Stewart was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Meanwhile, Crestview didn't have quite enough to beat Hillsdale on Friday and fell 5-4. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Crestview's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Western Reserve, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Western Reserve suffered a grim 15-1 defeat to Crestview in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Roughriders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
