Basketball Recap: Mt. Zion Takes a Loss

After flying high against Effingham last Saturday, Mt. Zion came back down to earth. The Mt. Zion Braves lost to the Normal Community Ironmen on the road by a 65-51 margin on Friday.

Mt. Zion's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Normal Community, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Mt. Zion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-56 defeat against Niles North on the 25th. As for Normal Community, they will face off against Bloomington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
