Jacksonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Texas Tigers on the road and fell 48-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fightin' Indians of the 42-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2021.

Jacksonville wouldn't let Texas keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Jacksonville can thank Michael Miles and Josh Gaskin for forcing both of them.

Texas' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Javari Johnson led the charge by rushing for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. The team also got some help courtesy of David Potter, who threw for 249 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
