Basketball Recap: Wilson Magnet Takes a Loss

Wilson Magnet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 59-40 to the Harley Allendale Columbia Wolves. The Wildcats were down 52-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Cadence Brecker continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Harley Allendale Columbia, dropping a double-double with 26 points and 17 boards. Brecker is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last 27 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Gabby Giambra, who went 5-for-7 en route to 13 points and five steals.

Wilson Magnet's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Harley Allendale Columbia, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.

Wilson Magnet has already played their next game, a 40-35 victory against Franklin on the 12th. As for Harley Allendale Columbia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against South Seneca on the 11th.
