Softball Recap: Maria Carrillo Wins Going Away Against Analy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Windsor, Maria Carrillo was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Analy Tigers with a sharp 12-3 win. The Pumas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Paige Richards made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits. Richards was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Maria Carrillo let Erin Kelleher and Kylie Crabb run wild. Kelleher went 4-for-5 with three RBI and one run, while Crabb went 2-for-5 with three runs and two RBI. That's the most hits Kelleher has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Whitney Cia, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Maria Carrillo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Maria Carrillo's record is now 14-9. As for Analy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season.

Maria Carrillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Analy, they will head out to take on Windsor at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
