Volleyball Recap: Snow Canyon Warriors vs. Desert Hills Thunder
Snow Canyon came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Desert Hills Thunder. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
While Snow Canyon was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Desert Hills' winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20, 25-23.
Pa'Alo Tupe paced Snow Canyon's offense, picking up eight kills. Tupe got some help from Solaya Barker-Winton and her 17 assists. Tali Tupe controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Snow Canyon has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Desert Hills, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-8.
As of now, neither Snow Canyon nor the Thunder have any future games scheduled.
