Baseball Recap: Delaware Christian Eagles vs. Cardington-Lincoln Pirates
After flying high against Tree of Life Christian last Friday, Delaware Christian came back down to earth. The Delaware Christian Eagles lost 16-2 to the Cardington-Lincoln Pirates on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Delaware Christian of the 10-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2022.
Delaware Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Hobbs, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Delaware Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Cardington-Lincoln, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delaware Christian is on the road again on Tuesday to play Shekinah Christian at 5:30 p.m. As for Cardington-Lincoln, they will face off against River Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
