Volleyball Game Preview: Nevis Tigers vs. Verndale Pirates + How To Watch

The Nevis Tigers will square off against the Verndale Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nevis will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Nevis had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Northome/Kelliher on Thursday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Verndale came up short against Sebeka on Thursday and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 16-25, 25-21.

Verndale's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Nevis, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.

Nevis took their win against Verndale when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
