Fowler skates past Walsenburg with ease

Recap: Fowler Grizzlies vs. Walsenburg Panthers

The Fowler Grizzlies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 23 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 54-6 win over Walsenburg at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Fowler has managed all season.

Fowler was led to victory by Andrea Maestas and Randi Maestas. Maestas scored 11 points, while Maestas scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was Maestas' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Madi Bates, who scored four points.

The victory got Fowler back to even at 4-4. As for Walsenburg, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Fowler won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Holly at 12:00 p.m. on January 6th. Hopefully Holly focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 back in December of 2023. As for Walsenburg, they will head out on the road to face off against Rocky Ford at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
