Volleyball Recap: Eagle Valley Takes a Loss

Eagle Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Glenwood Springs Demons, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Devils have suffered since August 26th.

Eagle Valley was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 27-25, 25-23.

Riley Weatherred paced Eagle Valley's offense, picking up 21 kills. Weatherred got some help from Ansley Hopper and her 21 assists. Cadence Aguilar controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Eagle Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Glenwood Springs, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2.

Eagle Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Golden on the 24th. As for Glenwood Springs, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Summit on the 23rd.
