Softball Game Preview: Ankeny Hawks vs. Northwest Wolves

The Ankeny Hawks will challenge the Northwest Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ankeny will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Ankeny took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Dowling Catholic, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hawks won by a run and slipped past the Maroons 7-6. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hawks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Northwest never let their opponents score on Monday. They came out on top against Urbandale by a score of 4-0.

Ankeny's victory bumped their record up to 11-22. As for Northwest, their win bumped their record up to 31-3.
