Basketball Game Preview: Melcher-Dallas Saints vs. Diagonal Maroons

Melcher-Dallas is on a ten-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, Diagonal a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Melcher-Dallas Saints will host the Diagonal Maroons. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but likely not for long.

Melcher-Dallas came up into this matchup off a tough 50-point loss last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Lamoni by a score of 45-43 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Diagonal was beaten by Mormon Trail 61-29 on Friday.

Melcher-Dallas' defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Diagonal, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Melcher-Dallas came out on top in a nail-biter against Diagonal in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, sneaking past 53-51. Will Melcher-Dallas repeat their success, or does Diagonal have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
