Baseball Recap: Sonoma Academy Comes Up Short

Sonoma Academy entered their game against Branson on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Coyotes lost 13-2 to the Bulls. If the Coyotes were looking for revenge after losing 13-1 to the Bulls when the teams met back in May of 2015, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sonoma Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Proctor, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base. Proctor has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Sonoma Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Branson, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-8 record.

Coming up, Sonoma Academy will challenge Willits at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.07 runs per game on average), something the Coyotes will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Branson, they will face off against San Marin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulls are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
