Preview: Altamont Indians vs. Vandalia Vandals
Altamont is 8-2 against Vandalia since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Altamont Indians will be playing at home against the Vandalia Vandals at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Altamont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, everything went Altamont's way against Cumberland as Altamont made off with a 54-32 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Altamont.
Altamont got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaidyn Miller out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Miller, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Vandalia pushed their score all the way to 58 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dieterich.
Their wins bumped Altamont to 2-0 and Cumberland to 1-3.
Altamont was able to grind out a solid victory over Vandalia when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 68-55. Does Altamont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Vandalia turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
